Friends of the Pacific Electric Trail is a local, non-profit advocacy group. The "Friends"' purpose is to enrich communities by enhancing and promoting the use of the 21-mile Pacific Electric Trail (PET), by walkers, equestrians, runners, and cyclists as part of a healthy lifestyle. The PET runs from Claremont to Rialto and through the cities of Montclair, Upland, Rancho Cucamonga and Fontana. We sponsor a yearly fundraising event called the "Cucamonga Challenge." Experienced trail riders and steady steeds come explore San Diego County, Cuyamaca, Laguna and Borrego Desert on horseback. Pick a trail, post a date and show up! Horse Camping or Day adventures. Walk, trot, canter. Minimum 2 hour rides, preferably longer and at a good clip. All ages and sexes welcome.
